So I just upgraded from a 500w PSU and an RX580 4GB to a 650w PSU and a 5700XT. Now when trying to play a heavy graphics game, COD Modern Warfare or Train Sim 2020, my computer just crashes. Only way to boot back up is to flip the switch on the back of the PSU. Updated card drivers through AMD and no other drivers need updating. Rest of specs: Ryzen 5 1600, 16GB ram, B350 mobo.

Thanks

Should probably just reinstall windows with any major hardware changes.

Could try running a game from a linux USB just to see what happens without windows.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

I think its CODs fault... I can’t play Warzone on my old PC just on my new one... maybe try contacting Activisions support.

Are other games working fine?

Seems like it, I just tried Train Sim 2020 and Forza Horizon 4 and all is fine.
