Budget (including currency): $200-$300

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Subnautica, Battlefield, GTA V

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Hello everyone I have recently acquired a dell optiplex 790 mini tower, i5-2400, 8GB ram, 2TB HDD, and 250GB SSD. I have seen a lot of videos about upgrading these into a gaming pc and I am curious about what upgrades I could do to this. I plan on adding more ram (16 GB), upgrading power supply and graphics card. I don’t really know much about computer and what to look for in a graphics card so I was hoping someone could recommend a couple I could chose from also along with a power supply. Thank you!

buy gtx 1650 and 8gb more ram. try to see what psu is inside

the wattage is probably enoough since the gpu only consumes 75w under load. so your system will consume much under 200w. but the quality of the psu mgiht be terrible

Do you happen to have a link for the gtx 1650 and rx 580? There seems to be a lot of different versions and I’m not sure which is best. Would you personally pick the gtx 1650 or rtx 580 and why?
