Windows 10 question

I'm going to be updating my mobo, cpu, & ram soon. When I do will that invalidate my windows? I've heard stories and worry over them.

As long as you don't upgrade the boot drive and you install drivers it should be fine

Hope having updated the windows drive this year doesn't count.

Yes it is very likely to deactivate, but it should reactivate without issue unless you have an OEM license.

Hello,

 

All that matters is that you have your license key from your system (Win7, Win8, Win8.1)

If you had a preinstalled Windows 7, 8, 8.1, the product key could be stored within the motherboard firmware:

1. Press Windows Key + X
2. Click Command Prompt (Admin)
3. At the command prompt, type: wmic path SoftwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey
