The first one is bid. But i'll look into the second one. I'm getting a shield as a portable entertainment device (because i don't own a phone) because i do some travelling. Would it be wiser to get a phone, if so, which one?

A phone is supposed to be used to make phone calls. Do you make calls a lot?

If you're are looking for an entertainment device I would recommend the Nvidia Shield, it's purpose is for gaming, you also have a GTX 780 where you could steam games.

I am only in highschool so i rarely use my phone (unlike others in the school who are glued to them)

Streaming is one of the big things for me. As well as not having to be on my computer to check facebook or emails

That can all be done with the Nvidia Shield, would recommend you getting that.

Alright then

One thing though, you won't be able to use Internet outside unlike a phone where you can purchase a 3G/4G plan. To use Facebook etc outside you would need to hotspot to a device.
