Multiple and consistent BSOD Errors

Go to solution Solved by Robchil,

It sounds more like a CPU instructionset failure, but hard to say. if they don't get any failure or reproducable failures for the shop where you bought it.

It could be the mainboard or both actually.

Hey,  I built this computer with a friend last year. Right away I had some issues took it in to be checked over at a computer repair shop, they updated the BiOS and went over everything and it checked out. The errors continued, even with updated drivers, BIOS etc, took it in again and had it checked out, everything seemed fine. Still the errors continued. 2 clean installs, and months of trying to figure this out with various experienced people, using stress tests and memory tests that all come back ok.... here I am. Hopefully this is all the info you need, Thanks for your time.

The errors seem to happen randomly.

run the memory at lower speed 3000 or lower.

The Memory was set to auto in the bios, and it was running at 1100 when I checked so I set it to 3K, it's now running at 1499.7 according to CPID. It starts up faster but it still crashed with ATTEMPTED_EXECUTE_OF_NOEXECUTE_MEMORY

I tried this and still crashed with both sticks on their own.

hmm thats odd. if clean installs are crashing I'd almost say it's still hardware related and I'd try a different drive. doesn't have to be fast or new just different from the one you are using to see if it stabilizes.

Begin testing somewhere.

If you have another set of memory, install it and try it at stock frequency.

Be sure to clear the cmos when you swap the memory sticks.

If you have another cpu to try, that's also another option. 200ge is cheap testing chip. Again, clear cmos.

And lastly, the board. If you have any of these 3 things to do testing with, you'll come to a conclusion faster.

do you have another CPU avaiable that would run on that mainboard?

and btw.. what PSU do you have?

I don't have any spare parts, I will try and get some soon, shipping takes time right now.

As to the PSU I have:

Corsair TX550M 550W 80 Plus Gold

OK So I got new RAM and the computer is still crashing but with all new messages.

KERNEL_AUTO_BOOST_LOCK_ACQUISITION_WITH_RAISED_IQRL

MEMORY_MANAGEMENT

UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

-Wdfilter.sys

The current guess is maybe the board itself is bad, Any thoughts?

Some of it looks voltage related to the RAM as in not enough.
Errors such as "IQRL_NOT_LESS_THAN_EQUAL " for example is usually due to lack of sufficient voltage to the sticks.

"MEMORY_MANAGEMENT" is another but could also be due to wrong RAM timings for the sticks and speed which they are running.

I don't know how you have things setup in the BIOS, I'm presuming all "Auto". Check and see in the BIOS what voltage the sticks are getting. The norm should be 1.35v's for a set even on "Auto" for the voltage they get, if it's less you'll have to bump it up manually.
Check and see what timings the system is setting for the sticks, using an XMP profile in itself could be the cause of it since there are so many different sets with different spec's but only a limited number of profiles you can set in the BIOS.

If any of the settings are off the sticks won't like it and they will misbehave - Always if possible set them for the timings the sticks are rated for and that includes the speed they run at too, esp if having problems.

Maybe this will help - Maybe not.
