How does this random SSD that's in my laptop ( part # is SAMSUNG MZNLN128HAHQ-00L1, its 128GB) compare to a budget 1 TB SSD, say a Critical P1, and a more expensive one, such as a SAMSUNG 970EVO? I am getting a new computer at some point this summer, and I don't want any of it to be a downgrade haha.

As a bonus, I included the 128GB usb drive i got off amazon for like $30, was it a good bargain?

Some variables: the SSD has like 2 years of pretty heavy use, its like 80% full currently (it has been literally completely full tho haha thats what sucks about 128GB), and I was using my browser (video streaming i think) while the tests were happening, but I can rerun them if that affects anything)

CPU: AMD 3600X

GPU: Nvidia 3070 (planned)

motherboard: MSI B500-A PRO

memory: G Skill Ripjaws V 2x8 GB 3600Mhz CL16

PSU: EVGA B3 650@

Case: NZXT H510

wireless network adapter: intel ax200

See for yourself.

A 970 EVO will definitely be faster.

do you have a m.2 slot in your laptop that supports nvme drives?  I would check that first.  Include the xpg sx8200 in your new drive searching too

im not looking to upgrade this computer, it's a school one and the ssd speed is the least of my worries
