Bios version compatibility

Hello everyone, I am planning a mega transformation in my current computer and trying to cut prices to the minimum I had a question. Would an AMD Ryzen 3rd Gen processor still work if the motherboard doesn't have the updated bios to support it? From what I could understand it requires the P2.30 version to support the Ryzen 3rd Gen. But I have no idea if the bios of the card I am going to buy has been updated which could cause problems if it does not recognize the processor.

No you will need to update the bios to at least 2.30. If you have not bought the motherboard yet you can ask the seller if the bios is updated.

So since i'm planning to buy it on amazon, I should probably get a 40$ more to get a B450 up to date?

And by the way what would i get more if i upgrade to a X570 or 470 or 370 motherboard compare to a B450 chipset?
