I need OC help please.

Hey i am about to finish building my 1st ever gaming PC. So far the build is a ROG SRTIX X470, Ryzen 7 3700x, Evo cooler, Corsair vengeance pro rgb, Nvidia RTX 2070 Super. Now my idea is i would like to over clock it to something quite reasonable like 4.0Ghz but i have no idea what i am doing. I have seen a lot of videos on what to do but i was hoping someone on here would have a very similar build and can give me some guidance on what to change and what not to change. Any and ALL help is much appreciated.

I would suggest upgrading to a X570 motherboard if your budget alllows, according to the following article, https://www.digitalcitizen.life/x570-vs-x470-motherboards, it allows for better overclocking.

Hey Erm yeah it might be a little to late as the board is on route to me via the delivery.. I dont want to go crazy with OCing like i said 4.0Ghz would be perfect for me.

Other then that I'm out of my knowledge, so I wont give you made up stuff:)

Your 3700X will naturally reach 4.0Ghz all cores without any modifications. While running games it may boost to 4.4Ghz.

For all core OC you could try for 4.5Ghz but it's not recommend if you not used to overclocking.
