3 Monitors set-up help!

Hi Guys,

need an advice from someone who’s more of an expert than me on the subject.

I am a feature film assistant editor and I need to setup a workstation for quarantine.

To properly work, I need 3 monitors, and my at-home machine is a 2016 15” MacBook Pro  with a 2,6 GHz i7 CPU, 16GB of RAM and a 2GB Radeon Pro 450 GPU.

I have 3 24” 1920x1080 ASUS VZ249HE monitors (which have VGA and HDMI but not DisplayPort) and at the moment, I have them all connected to the MacBook (with the lid shut) with 3 usb-c to HDMI cables.

To the 4th port I have connected a usb-c dongle with power delivery to which I connect the charger and an external LaCie hard disk.

Mouse and Keyboard are via bluetooth and I have headphones connected with a 3.5 millimeter jack.

The setup is working, but it is a bit messy and I wanted to clean it up as much as possible and with the least amount of cables.

The question is: what are the best docking stations (if they exist) to which I can connect 2 monitors (I don’t think it is possible to connect 3 right? If yes that would be a dream), speakers, ethernet and that will charge my macbook WITHOUT using DisplayLink? (I need to use all the GPU power I have in order to work properly with media)

If there is no such thing, what is the closest I can get?

am willing to invest a good amount of money in it if it would allow me to have all of that connected through one cable, the third screen connected with the HDMI to usb-c cable directly to the MacBook and the hard disk connected to the other port, leaving one port free for eventual additional disks.

Thanks in advance for the help!

I loathe to buy USB docking stations because of poor USB driver support but the brand that has been least bad for me has been Plugable and i think they carry a product that allows you to connect many monitors via USB. That's a good first step for research.
