well, did you overclock recently? os and or driver update forced by os? (assuming windows os)  is it every game or just some? i know for me, when playing windows games through wine, i get black screen, sometimes with sound when i use alt+tab. also some older games like mk9 and injustice 1, require me to swap to older drivers to get them working. as i'm on linux, and using an nvidia card, that may be diffrent, but still. try loading some opengl game like minecraft, that should tell if hardware acceleation is bugged or not as it seams to work all drivers.

main rig:

Mobo: Z390 taichi ultimate

Ram: 2x8gb corsair vengence lpx @3000mhz speed

case: focus G black

OS: ubuntu 16.04.6, and umix 20.04

No i havent overclocked and what usually happens is the games can load for like 1 to 2 minutes and then they black screen and go full speed on fans, and i did update os for windows but i dont think it changed anything since it was working just fine earlier today
