Avchd Files are recognized by windows.... apparently.  Iv'e been trying to import data from an SD card onto my PC, but for some reason these files don't want to be found in file explorer.  I am recording on a Panasonic HC-x2000 and I cannot get the files anywhere.  Except, when I plug it in and windows does that whole "import photos and videos blah blah blah" and it shows up there. I can import about half the files to a folder that apparently doesn't exist either, and then it fails.  Iv'e even tried Linux.  After about an hour of research, I found that some other people have similar problems but with different cameras, but none mentioned that prompt to import when you turn on the PC.  What is happening here? is windows mad at me because I changed my mobo and it doesn't recognize my windows key anymore and after being on the phone with a windows guy for like 3 hours the best he could do was, no not reactivate my PC, it was simply to tell me I could buy windows again.... No thanks.  Anyone have any insight into the file system?
