if there's no specific workload you need an 8 core CPU for, the Ryzen 5 3600 (non x, save the money) and a better GPU is ideal for a gaming PC.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

hey guys its my first build and iam stuck between two choices i want a build that will hold against upecoming games (next gen consoles)

build1: ryzen 5 3600x + rx 5600xt

 vs

 build2: ryzen 7 3700x + 1660 super

r 5 3600 (non-x, x literally only comes with a factory oc, its useless) and a 5600xt/5700

I am NOT a professional and a lot of the time what I'm saying is based on limited knowledge and experience. I'm going to be incorrect at times.

in my country the 3600x and the non X are almost on the same price like not higher than 15$, so a 6c/12t will be enough for the next 6 years ?

Agreed.

If all you want is a gaming PC the R5 3600 (non X) is the best choise and spend the remaining money on the best possible GPU.

Unless you can get a 3600X for the same price as a 3600 (like I did), there's no good reason to buy the 3600X. You might as well spend the $15 on a cheap Wish dragon dildo or something (not buying advice).

And yes, 6c/12t should be good for a while. And in the event that you need to get more cores, you could switch CPUs in minutes.

I would believe so but 6 years is a long time so hard to say.

And it also depends on what type of resolution and frame rate your monitor has.

For 1080p @ 60hz is will be fine.

1440p @ 144hz your GPU will struggle.

I would say you need 5700xt / 2070S minimum for 1440p/144hz.

next 6 years? We can't see the future so we don't know. you can upgrade with any decent AM4 motherboard though so not like it will be a problem.

YES don't buy a cheap PSU.

Most decent/good PSUs has 5-10 years of warranty.

But an +80 bronze 550W-650W  from a respectable brand will be fine.

Looks alright.

The only thing I would suggest is slightly faster memory as ryzen CPUs benefits from fast memory.

3200mhz/3600mhz with decent timings.

But the memory you have choosen isn't bad and will work fine.

Building a PC isn't that hard as there are a lot of good guide videos and instructions on the interwebs...

It is basically like building very expensive Lego.

Take your time, study and read the instructions and you will be fine.
