New build losing peripherals

Hello if anyone could please help it would be greatly appreciated. I am helping a friend with a gaming rig that she put together and have been having the same issue after over a week of troubleshooting. The issue that I am having is that when I try to load an application (League of Legends, WoW, etc.) I lose connection to my mouse, keyboard, and display. I have replaced each individual component to test, I have formatted the drive and reinstalled Windows and reinstalled all of the applications, I updated the BIOS and all drivers for each hardware component, tried running the system out of the case, and in the case. 

 

I am at a loss and have found nothing useful digging through forums. I came across someone that suggested flashing the original BIOS back onto the mobo, but the system will not allow a BIOS downgrade.

 

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
