I recently built a PC, and whatever output I use my audio sounds as if I'm stood in a large room and listening to it that way. I've tried using them with a 3.5mm audio splitter and without, yet they stlll sound the same. I've updated my BIOS and checked that HD audio is enabled but it has done nothing. In Discord whoever I'm in a group with can hear what's coming out of the headphones louder than they can hear me. I'm using HyperX Cloud Alphas and a MSI B450M MORTAR MAX motherboard if that helps at all.

Thanks.

That to me sounds like a shorting issue, what you're hearing is the phase-negative version of the audio, try it in your phone to see if it's an issue with your PC or otherwise there's a wiring problem inside the headset and you'll have to return it.

Can you try plugging into a different audio jack, like, if you were plugged into the front audio jacks can you try plugging into the back and seeing if it's still broken.
To me what you've indicated suggests the audio jack on your PC is broken.

Okay, so your computer (unlike all those other devices) won't be using combo jacks, you could try using a converter (splitter) cable to go from combo jack to headphone and microphone separate signal.
If that doesn't fix it I'm honestly not sure what will
