Ah ok, does it show up in your file explorer under 'This PC'? And what games do you want to install? Steam games or other?

ok so for 3 years now ive had my gaming pc. let me list my specs

Ram corsair vengence pro 16gb 3200mhz

cpu:  i7-8700k 4.7

gpu: gtx 1080 turbo. soon to be rtx 2070 super

motherboard: asus prime z390-A

PSU- honestly i have no clue yet

anyways on almost all of my games, it feels very choppy and you can physically feel the frames skipping. ive always thought it was my 144hz monitor but it might not be. its very hard to play any games such as overwatch and minecraft. let me give you and example

[FPS: 299..] [FPS 240...] [FPS 160...] [FPS 299...]____ and that is all in a span of 2 seconds. its very hard to explain but all i know is it is really frusterating me. any suggestions?

(trust me there is no background task running)

I recommend monitoring with msi afterburner. See where usage is high.

Also, what drive are you using? If you're not on am SSD it could be textures etc loading a little slow.

80 is a little bit toasty but within limits. Corsair make many 600w powersupplies 😂

Do you know what drives you have currently? Brand/spec?

You could assumed the SSD is the lower capacity one. That's the most likely.
