Hi there, I was looking to upgrade my pre built computer:

Nitro N50-600

core i5-8400

rx 580 8gb

1Tb hard Drive

8Gb 2666Mhz DDr4 RAM (Samsung?)

crappy 500W PSU

(not sure about motherboard model all I know is that it is L shaped for some stupid reason)

I was thinking about upgrading to a:

Corsair Icue 465x

core i5-9600KF

RTX 2060 super

1Tb hard drive

16Gb G.Skill Trident Z 3000Mhz

corsair modular 80 plus bronze 750W PSU (a little excessive maybe but was pretty similar in price to 650W PSU for some reason)

I am looking to play more demanding games like Boneworks. Also making more games running smoother in 1440p if possible. I would be ok with 1080p if I have to.

Is this a good upgrade? Or is there some better more budget friendly options that would give me better performance?

Thanks in advance guys!

you would be able to power this system and basically any future upgrade with a decent 550 watt unit, like the CX550.

Are you sure the L shaped motherboard would even be compatible with these? Also, if you don't have an SSD, adding one and migrating your OS to it would make the biggest difference.

To upgrade your current system, maybe stick with an RTX 2070 and i7-8700 and just put those into your current case.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I need?
