1st time Optane install

Okay so i Have a ASUS Prime Z390-P Motherboard with a 9900k(if that matters). My primary m.2 is a samsung 970. and i bought the 16gb intel optane upgrade for my secondary m.2 slot. My issue is Optane cannot be activated with CSM "on" which for some reason my primary drive isn't bootable without CSM "on", detected but not in bootable list of devices. So how can i get my primary m.2 to boot without CSM enabled so i can enable my optane drive? I will provide any additional info needed please help.
