So i have a ryzen 7 2700x and im looking for a upgrade. but i dont wanna break the bank.

Now with that said i would like a new motherboard becuase the one i have doesnt have the weird 3 pin rgb and i cant link all my rgb ( i know rgb isnt that important)

my two choices are the ryzen 9 3900x or i was looking at the thread ripper 2950x. what do you think i should go with. i play alot of games and also do alot of photoshop, after effects, lightroom .etc it would be a all around pc not just gaming.

What? Why would you swap that CPU? It's still very modern.

If you want RGB you can get a $50 controller that plugs into a USB header or something.

Photoshop and lightroom benefit quite greatly from single threaded performance, so you should definitely consider the 3950X. What PSU are you using?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.
