Pc doesn't turn on after power outlet sparked

DarklordGaming99

I was watching some videos when my computer turned off, I thought it was weird but just tried to turn it back on. It didn't work so I unplugged the power cord and plugged it back in to the wall, it sparked more than it would normally but I still didn't think much of it. The power light on the mobo was on so I tried turning on the pc again, only to have it turn on for a sec then turn off when the plug sparked.

Now it sparks every time I plug in the power cord to the wall and doesn't turn on

If you're lucky its a fuse in the power supply unit. If you're unlucky its the complete PSU.
(If you really unlucky its the PSU and the motherboard.)

Can you give us some specs. And maybe some info if you have other hardware to test with.

When i ask for more specs, don't expect me to know the answer!

Sounds like the PSU died.  What model is it and how old?

The psu is a 2yo corsair CX750m, rest of the specs below:

i7 8700k

Corsair h100i v2 watercooler

Asus prime z370-A

EVGA gtx 1050ti

Some hard drives and ssd's

It's only a couple years old, and was working fine until now. I don't have spare parts, and Amazon probably won't deliver pc parts right now...

They will, but with a delay.  If you have a best buy or similar near you they have units in stock too that you can buy and pick up at the door.

Have you checked the outlet with something else to make sure it works ok?  Just to eliminate that possibilty.

The outlet seems to be working fine with my phone charger, so it's probably the psu.
