I've recently been looking at custom builds from micro center but I can't find a good one within my price. Could someone help me find good parts for a pc build for gaming, my budget is 1,250 I can go a bit more than that if needed. I already have everything else for my set up. I live in the US.

Bro this config is nice but I would recommended a 650w gold PSU because rtx

2070 can require more power so

If are going to overclock I would suggest good aio or cooler.I would get 3200mhz ram than 3733mhz other parts are best choice

that system will consume under 400we when oc'd and when the system is running at 100%

cpu consumes little under 100w. gpu under 200w. ram about 20, hardrivers about 20. fans + rest about 20. so its 460 max. but i highly doubt that his guy will run his cpu, ram and gpu at 100% all the time.

3600-3733 is sweetspot for 3rd gen ryzen. and that 3733mhz ram is pretty cheap. 3733mhz cl17 ram= 3200mhz cl14. And 3200mhz cl14 is much more expensive.

I Use my knowledge as business owner and self taught technician aswell as an AI to help people. AI might be controversial but it actually works pretty well 90% of the time.

You are right but there is very little performance gains after 3200mhz ram acc to Linus video and 650w PSU is way cheap so I have done my config hope it helps

Sounds like a degradation in quality if it's cheaper but has higher wattage. I'd prioritize the RAM speed over PSU.

Main Rig :

Ryzen 7 2700X | Powercolor Red Devil RX 580 8 GB | Gigabyte AB350M Gaming 3 | 16 GB TeamGroup Elite 2400MHz | Samsung 750 EVO 240 GB | HGST 7200 RPM 1 TB | Seasonic M12II EVO | CoolerMaster Q300L | Dell U2518D | Dell P2217H |

Laptop :

Thinkpad X230 | i5 3320M | 8 GB DDR3 | V-Gen 128 GB SSD |

I did the build below, solid build, under budget, known brands.

Changes:

3600 RAM you do not need more than that, from a known brand.

650w PSU from a known brand

500gb NVMe that is enough to get going - adding storage is easy

Meshify Case - it is just a nice case good airflow and you are still within budget.
