Hi,

I have a MSI trident 3 and I have 1x8 2400mhz but it is not enough for new games and i want to upgrade to 2x8 3200mhz but i dont know if my motherboard can handle that. Do al new motherboards run 3200mhz or should I check it somehow first and where can i search that? I dont know the motherboard brand. If anyone sees 3200 2x8 sodimm ram pls send a link

I have a i7 7700 so I guess it only can handle 2400mhz

7700 memory controller i think can accept up to 2666 and its pretty good (decent) but dont worry about your cpu and only check the mb because usually intel cpus are very good interns  on memory support  but the mb might not
