Nvidia control panel keeps forgetting custom resolutions

I use a 4k TV as a monitor but for some reason while it displays 1080p and 4k at 60hz natively, it only does 1440p at 30hz.  In order to have my monitor display 1440p at 60hz I have to use the Nvidia control panel and create a custom resolution of 1440p at 60hz.  Problem is the damn thing will not remember the custom resolution I create.  If I reset my computer that custom resolution is not saved, I cannot simply select it from the list of resolutions available, I have to go back to creating a custom resolution from scratch.  Problem is with the scaling I need to be able to see the TV at 4k where I sit, the "ok" button that I need to press to create the custom resolution each time is not visible forcing me to have to change the scaling of windows each time which is a pain in the ass.

Is there anyway to save custom resolutions in nvidia control panel so that they don't disappear each time I restart the computer?  I'd love to play at 4k but my 1070ti can't do 4k at 60fps in most games, only 1440 at 60fps.  Or is there a different piece of software I can use instead of the garbage nvidia control panel?  I am using Windows 10.
