No post no beep

Hello you guys I’ve been trying to help my friend build his first pc and we are going through a lot of trouble. We finally got all the parts together and built it. When we tried turning it on the fans on the cpu gpu and chassis fans were turning but nothing would display on the monitor or any beep code. We tried rechecking all the cables and tried without the gpu. We don’t know what to do at this point. If anybody can help it would be greatly appreciated.
