Graphics card decision

Hi guys!

So I am constructing a new gaming rig and am using a Ryzen 5 1600 6 core (best value on the market if you ask me) This is my second build and I need some help.

The 1660 gtx GeForce gpu I have found seems to be better than the 1660 SUPER (in terms of clock and overclock speed). Is this crazy or should I go with the super. At a similar price range, is there any cards you could recommend?

1660 is definitely not better than the 1660S, though close enough after overclocking.

do you think i should go with the MSI GeForce GTX 1660 6 GB GAMING X Video Card if I'm going for RGB and performance as RGB 1660S are unreasonable

I would go for the best performance you can afford and ditch rgb ...

imo spending extra for RGB on anything not mid-high end (i.e. RTX cards) are unreasonable so there's that, 16 series can be cooled by a simple dual fan dual slot cooler.

 

Which one you should buy depends on what's available, just filter all the most basic models from all brands (e.g. Asus has Turbo, MSI has Ventus XS etc)

depends on exact prices in your region

Simply because of the reviews I am gonna go with the AMD 5600 xt

it's a good card, just be sure to do some research as they did an update on the bios of the card I think the day of the release (or close to that) so some might still have the old one (would be surprising tho) and if you want to get the most performance out of it you might have to update the bios.
