Razer Blade 13 for College?

Hey guys I plan on buying the late 2019 version of the blade stealth for next year of college and was wondering if there are any downsides to it. Primary reason I'm going with it is it's a thin and light laptop with a decent processor and gpu (1650) and plan to buy a EGPU and bring my monitor,聽so i don't have to bring my desktop to college. However, still not 100% sure this is the best option, but as a heads up I'd like to avoid bringing my desktop to college and going any bigger with the computer I get. Any thoughts thanks in advance!

Ehhh, I wasn't super impressed with my RBS13 for gaming. With an eGPU it was manageable, but eGPU's are another whole can of worms of unreliability. Even though mine is just the MX150 GPU, it still discharges the battery if you use it for playing games, and it doesn't play CPU intensive games well at all while using the GPU as you get really power limit throttled. So if you just want to play some League think again, this laptop is pretty bad at it.

Main downside will be Razer quality, not even funny at this point.

Premium price even for thin laptops

Hot and loud under full load, as thin and lights usually are.

You鈥檙e playing what 拢1500 for that blade? You can get a mid range聽laptop with a 128GB SSD and a decent PC for that. Gaming laptops aren鈥檛 really worth it.

Best laptop for college is actually a MacBook btw (not for gaming obvs).聽

Dirty Windows Peasants :P?
