Zen + / zen doesn't have the best memory controller and is very bad interms on quality which will result in needing even Samsung b dies to even get the advertised speed

So it could be that you lost the lottery

PC: Motherboard: ASUS B550M TUF-Plus, CPU: Ryzen 3 3100, CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34, GPU: GIGABYTE WindForce GTX1650S, RAM: HyperX Fury RGB 2x8GB 3200 CL16, Case, CoolerMaster MB311L ARGB, Boot Drive: 250GB MX500, Game Drive: WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM HDD.

Peripherals: GK61 (Optical Gateron Red) with Mistel White/Orange keycaps, Logitech G102 (Purple), BitWit Ensemble Grey Deskpad.

Audio: Logitech G432, Moondrop Starfield, Mic: Razer Siren Mini (White).

Quick question - memory in slot 2/4 or 1/3?

The official supported speed is only 2933mhz.

You are populating all Dimm slots and this is heavy on the memory controller.

Try setting DOCP but at a lower manually input frequency.

You can start maybe 2666 and work your up to 3000mhz.

Manually set memory voltage to 1.350  - 1.400v

Manually set power down mode to disabled.

Manually set the SOC voltage to 1.100v

ok so heres whats been working for me i left everything on auto but i manually put the frequency to 2933 because 3000 keeps crashing and put my dram volts to 1.350000

and im getting just about 10 fps more on MHW with no crashes but thats just one game i dont wanna say its solid just yet.

I'll suggest something

Lower the cl latency will get you the same experience as faster ram

E.g cl16 3200 will perform about the same as a cl15 3000

Hopefully this will help :)

Can you go into a little bit more detail on that I dont mean yo sound like a noob but how do I change that timing and which one should I put for 3000 mhz

Ok well maybe I miss understood the post so are you saying that your rated speeds aren't being achieved? If so here is why maybe you can't and how maybe you can get something that is similar to it

So first of all the reason why you might not be able to get the advertised speeds is because of zen + ( your cpu architecture) they aren't known to have the best memory controller so alot of the times you might not be able to get to the advertised speeds

If you have this problem how to maybe get through it

1st try going from th base freq. Of your ram with is 2133 all the way up to 3000 working your way up to that you have to go through varies speeds (2666/2400 etc. ) While raising the voltage if needed  if you can't do that there is another way to get similar performance

2nd you can change the timing and lower your freq and get the same performance for e.g let's say we have a 2x8 kit that is rated at 3200 alright let's say that has a cl latency of 17

If you lower your timings by one (cl 16) and then you weren't able to get to cl 16 and 3200 at the same time, you can lower your freq

So basically a kit with cl16 and a freq of 3000mhz will perform about the same as a cl17 3200mhz kit (3000 cl16 = 3200 cl17)

Hopefully this cleared things up :D
