Screen flickering

Hello!

 

I have some issue with my PC recently so we done a fresh install of windows 10... for some reason the task manager windows etc flicker when i open them and continue to flicker until i close them.

 

I have tried DDU etc but still not helping.

 

I even installed an older update for nvidia without the gforce experience.

 

Windows 10. GTX 970.  i7 4970k

Have you tried a different GPU, or the integrated graphics?

Thanks for taking the time to reply!

 

after doing DDU it seems to happen when NVidia is installing the drivers. Ill try my IGUP and see what happens. Dont have another gpu on hand

 

This wasnt an issue until i done the reinstall

 

Just tried it on the IGUP and it isnt having the same issue.

 

any thoughts?

Is it a one time thing? Windows does take it's sweet time to get around to the graphics driver after a fresh install, and flickering would be normal during that process.

Its been like this for days : /

 

I changed over to my igup and it ddint have any issues but when i swapped back over my to my 970 it starts again

I would suspect a failing GPU in that case. One last ditch effort, you could try re-seating the GPU in the PCIe slot.

Just done a reseat and it hasnt changed anything

 

Found a little bit of rust on the card... I honestly have no idea how it got there

 

Cleaned it up with isopropyl alcohol and nothing has changed.... might have to look at a new card then

I managed to get another gpu until my new one arrives and I’m still having the same issue
