NAS and UPS

Hey guys, I currently have a PR4100 Western Digital NAS, and I would like to have it setup to where a UPS can shut it down automatically upon power outage. However, right now I am unable to get anyone knowledgeable about the system at WD and there is very little documentation about the process online, the link below is all I have. In there it shows only very specific UPS being supported, and that you just need to connect the USB to the NAS and UPS however, upon calling Cyberpower, the rep said that those listed models weren't anything special and that he wasn't sure why only those would work. Does anyone know how to set this system up?
