I am buying a res but can't make up my mind. between:

 

Liquid Fusion V or Phobya Balancer

 

Which is better? (not just based on looks alone).

System - Case: Corsair 900D | Motherboard: Rampage IV Black Edition | CPU: i7 4960x | GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Ti Dual Classified w/ EVGA Hydro Copper Cooler | PSU: Corsair AX1200i | Storage: Samsung 240 Pro SSD + WD BLACK 2 TB RAM: G.SKILL RipjawsZ 1866 MHz 64GBCooling: Custom - 14 SP QE 120 Fans; 4x120 + 4x120 +2x120 Rad; Liquid Fusion Res;

I wouldn't trust a Phobya product further than I could throw it. If you like the look of the Liquid Fusion, go for it (I got one myself). Else there are also glass reservoirs available at that price point from XSPC and Aquacomputer.

just got lucky, it came in stock just now, and i was able to get it.

Why don't you trust the phobya balancer. I'm only asking as I have just ordered one.

Not necessarily that particular product, but the company as a whole. I have had multiple fittings fail and got no customer support from them whatsoever. I also know others who have had more expensive items from them with bad QC (such as rads with loose solder inside that was also exposed to the water loop aiding corrosion).
