Please forgive me if this isn't the right place to post this, but I didn't see a more appropriate spot with a quick review.

I am in the process of updating my PC.

Current set-up:

i5-4690K (4c/4t)

Z87 Asrock ITX Mobo

16gb RAM

MSI GTX 960 2gb Special Edition

Desired set-up:

Ryzen 5 3800x

Asus Crosshair VIII (WiFi)

32gb RAM

Asus RTX 2070 Super

The PSU and Case are already sorted and will easily accommodate what I want to do otherwise.

My question is this: I only have the funds right now to get the graphics card, OR the Mobo, CPU, & RAM, given I (like a fair number of people right now) will want to start streaming my content for friends to watch etc... Which is the better initial upgrade? CPU or GPU? I'm leaning toward the CPU/Mobo for the increase in CPU cores/threads, but would appriciate additional opinions.

You do not need that CPU at all.

Ryzen 3700 will do you just fine.

The 2070S is over priced.

honestly bro, you could save so much money by dialing back on some of these upgrades.

and could prob afford a lot more at once, the list GreyestGoat gave you is really good. Otherwise if you're hellbent on those parts you want, then at least save up so you can get the motherboard, cpu, and gpu altogether.
