Hi,

I am bit confused with choosing right RAM since i am a relative newbie in PC build and i am not very sure what benefits i have with certain RAM,

PC will mainly be used for productivity (mostly video and photo edits), i am on budget so i am looking for 16 gigs of memory.

Other components are

RX 580

R5 2600x

1Tb Seagate HDD and 120Gb SSD

MSI A320M-A-PRO-MAX

I have two options right now

Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB DDR4 2666MHz

Patriot Viper Steel 8GB DDR4 3000MHz

i have just one simple question for you more expirienced guys. What woud be a better choice paired with my CPU?

I dont plan on any overclocking

Even a cheap B450 motherboard would be better, you would be able to overclock the ram if XMP didn't work. A320 motherboards are hard to recommend for a gaming PC.

Typically, DDR4 2800 and up has notable be benefits to performance, so get 2x8GB DDR4 3000 if that's what you were looking at.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

This a320m costed me let me just convert....69,21

And b450 is like 110,74

So right now in my country its notable difference since as i said i am on tight budget,i know it might not seem like a huge difference but honestly for US citizen maybe, for somone from my country..yes
