Hi

I am planning a new build with a Ryzen 3900x mainly because my old i5 4690k is not cutting it for the work I do.

I will be overclocking in the future but not immediatly but need a motherboard that will allow me to. I have been looking at the MSI MEG X570 (is it any good).

Due to my work I need as hefty 32GB of ram is Corsair Vengance pro 3600 okay for Ryzen ?

Thanks for any advice if you need a full parts list please comment as I have one ready

budget is MAX around £2500

i agree with boggy. i would suggest you pair it up with an 8gig graphic card of your choice if you want a budget build

There are a few MSI MEGs, are you talking about the Godlike? Sitting up there at $680?

For your information, there is an LTT video on RAM for AMD CPUs.  I think 3600 is fine.

For MB there is a good Gamers Nexus video just search Youtube for Best Motherboards for Ryzen 3000.

The Meg Godlike doesn't appear in their recommended list (in the description below) - but watch it if you want to understand why, the guy doing the video is an overclocker and talks about why a MB is good for that when discussing good OC boards.

That should answer your questions.

No RGB but you can always add RGB strips/fans etc if you wanted. Not a fan of it myself, but each to their own :)

I prefer Gigabyte just because of the UK warranty. Also if you are a member on ocuk forums there is a Gigabyte rep who posts on there.

Arctic Liquid Freezer is a solid cooler, and the P12 fans are also great value for money.

You might want to add more storage, so I just went with the single 1TB SSD.

yeah I already have a brand new 3tb drive I was gifted so storage should be fine. Hopefully between you and the other guys I can get one sorted this week to start building at the weekend.
