HDMI issue

Matpc

This is not a problem i think but more of a concern

I tried to plug my computer HDMI cable to my TV and some sparks appeared( very very minor) when plugging the cable

Both TV and PC were in stand by

Can this somehow damage my gpu , or my TV ports?

Both TV HDMI ports are working but i´m worried if it somehow damage something

It was a hot plug btw

Any help is appreciated

Thanks

It could've just been some static but it could be worse like a wire improperly grounded. I'd take a voltage tester and see if the HDMI has too much power to it, if so you need to figure out where the wire is. If it is just static then I wouldn't worry about it too much

I don´t have this tool to test

But i remember that the sparks were very very minor

Depending on the angle you look you couldn´t even see it

Everything is working fine but i´m worried if it damaged something

It is like this video here

Well, it should be okay. If you find a solution to your specific problem then definitely try to fix that but I don`t think you should be too concerned. Try not to plug in your HDMI cable a lot though just in case.
