ARMA 3 issues

Hey guys, 

 

I am trying to download some ARMA 3 mods. It is taking forever to download things like basic vehicles and things like that. I am using the A3 Launcher and the downloads have been going for atleast 6 hours now. My friends have said their mods for the server we are trying to play have downloaded in 5 minutes. can anyone help?
