Adding internal HDD

Hi All

Be gentle my computer knowalage is lacking at best but I'm working on it.

I recently brought a HP Pavilion 15-ec0000na 15.6" Gaming Laptop. It came with a internal SSD. I was wondering if it would be possible to add an internal HDD. I have noticed that some of the more expensive model HP Pavillion 15 have one fitted but this was my maximum budget from money company for a laptop so buying a higher spec was not a option.

I have taken a picture of internals. It looks like a blanking box where a HDD would go and there is a card in the m.2 slot that i assume would be the ssd ?

Would anybody be able to tell from this ?

Many Thanks

Ian

It looks like you can replace the 2.5 ssd with a hdd.

There also seems to be a m.2 slot, is that your boot drive?

That looks like a wifi card but I assume it could be compatible.

Essentially what you could do is remove the wifi card and install a sata m.2 ssd. I don't know if it's NVMe compatible. And then you can change the 2.5" to a hard drive.

Thanks for coming back so quickly.

It currently only has 256 ssd which i assume would be the boot drive ? . I assume this is what is in the m.2 slot as im not sure what else would be there.
