I'm looking into rebuilding my current PC. I'm stuck with a very bottlenecked GTX 970 with my i5 9600K (5 GHz, 1.38V). I've got a CM 240 Lite AIO at the moment which I plan on keeping.

My new case is planning on being the Kolink Void (because cheap, look nice, tempered glass, rgb). I was planning on getting the Corsair iCUE 465X, but that fell out of my budget as I added in a new GPU, PSU, and more RAM.

Large blue rectangle: RX 5700XT (XFX THICC III)

Small blue rectangle: WiFi Card

Top two fans will be the Cooler Master Air Balance fans which came with my AIO. Rear exhaust will be the included RGB fan. Front fans are still up for debate (Corsair SP120s / Noctua F12s / similar).

i recommend either leaving this one blank or just block it off. its pretty much just air going in and out without cooling anything

oh another option is to place the radiator at the top and make it an exhaust. that way all of your fans is used while still providing good airflow.

I used to have my current airflow setup like that, but my CPU temps were 10 degrees (C) higher than what they are when the AIO is set up as an intake.

oh right, the gpu is a thing too.

thats the thing with AIOs. its either cooler GPU or cooler CPU depending on the configuration...

if you think the first config with one fan off/blocked off is better, try it.

I actually think this would be the best config. you'd want some cool air to go through the aio radiator, and if you config this way, the top front intake fan will supply said cool air, while the bottom two front intake will provide for other internals.

We don't know much about your previous config, but if you observed a 10 dgr difference, it may well have been caused by some other factor(s) rather than just where you mount the radiator.

I don't think mounting the radiator at the front as intake and removing the top exhaust fan towards the front is a good idea with AIO cooler because it'll be bad for gpu and motherboard temps. This config is great with a tower air cooler, but not with an AIO.
