Hello Everyone,

Need some help / advice .. about 2 years ago I got a XSPC Phonton 270 pump/reservoir combo .. I have had no issues with it , or anything ..

I am looking at upgrading my cpu and video and thinking about doing a dual loop system .. So been looking into getting some ekwb stuff .. but not sure i want to spend $500 bucks on two pump/ reservoir combos, plus fittings ..

So wanted some options on the my current x4 pump/ reservoir combo and if its really that something that needs to be replace it after two years ..

Thanks for the help ..

Josh

I wouldn’t replace any pump after 2 years, nor would I go get a double pump because of that. You either need the head pressure or you like to spend the money for redundancy.
End result will be the same.

thanks @Mick Naughty for the advice ..

I was just thinking of doing dual loops because video cards and cpu's seem to be running hotter now a days , so thought it was a good idea .. but everyone seems to say that my current x4 model should be replaced after 2 years .. which seems crazy , but as i am new to all this i dont know ..

Well they either say it for a reason or don’t know what they are talking about.
If you have the money and space for more pumps and res’s but not more room for rads, then try a dual setup. If that’s what you really want and think will work best.
