Hi, would like some opinions on this part list and whether I could optimize it in any way and whether there are any compatability issues.

Thanks in advance :)

whoa there. if you plan on only gaming, that memory is overkill. rather than getting 32gb, its better to get 16gb of 3600mhz.

also, i think getting a mesh front case is better for airflow reasons.

Im with the mentaility of "IF IM NOT SURE IF ITS ENOUGH COOLING, GO OVERKILL"

CURRENT PC SPECS

GPU COOOER      : ID Cooling Frostflow 120 VGA (Stock cooler overheats even when undervolted :()

MOBO            : MSI B350m Bazooka

MEMORY          Team Group Elite TUF DDR4 3600 Mhz CL 16
STORAGE         : Seagate Baracudda 1TB and Kingston SSD
PSU             : Thermaltake Lite power 550W (Gonna change soon as i dont trust this)
CASE            : Rakk Anyag Frost
CPU COOLER      : ID-Cooling SE 207
CASE FANS       : Mix of ID cooling fans, Corsair fans and Rakk Ounos (planned change to ID Cooling)

Yes I thought about getting the airflow variant of this case.

I wanted to be future proof with that (and I do some editing stuff from time to time) and I thought about getting 3600mhz ram, but I didn't want to risk problems with XMP stuff and I thought that 3200 works fine nearly all the time because 3rd gen ryzen supports its natively.

Thanks for your quick answer :D

Hello,

To add from above, a 5700XT is probably cheaper (good ones start at 400€) and better than the 2060S. Also the NVMe is very overpriced.

I also replaced the case with more airflow and a better PSU and ram.

Hi @Meganter,
1. Do I lose something important by going down to the Gaming Plus MAX ATX AM4?
2. A while ago I heard about the AMD GPU drivers being a little broken / hard to work with, which is why (and the nvenc encoder) I choose a NVIDIA card. (Not sure whether this is still applicable)?

3. Changed out the NVMe, and case, need to look for a PSU (the one you linked seems to be unavailable currently)

Thanks!

1) Not really, they are basically the same board.

2) It's fixed now for the 5000 serie so don't worry ;)

3) Look a this one https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/3H2bt6/seasonic-focus-550-w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-focus-gx-550

Amd has their own encoder similar to nvenc
