Hello ! Im kinda new to the PC gaming thing. I just watched a video about bottlenecking on linus's channel. & i wanted to know or hear what you guys think if my rig is being bottlenecked.

I just recently moved into on PC October 2013. So i don't know much so please can you give me some positive feedback [:

My issues - okay i just got a new GPU. 780 sc ACX. i upgraded from a Gigabyte R9 270x , when i play bf4 with my new GPU it runs smooth on Ultra settings. but on Bf3 it doesn't. It seems like it's struggling to run on ultra. same goes for high/medium settings. Like it drops to low 30's to high 70's so fast ]:

Borderlands 2. i just recently got this game off steam. and i was messing around with the video settings. and it struggles to run on ultra/high settings. i even used the GEForce Experience optimized settings. still struggling. Etc Bf3

Is it my CPU ? or is my GPU defective ? i run other games fine. So please help.. or is those games really that demanding ? cause my R9 270x handle pretty fine.

The only thing I can think of is your drivers; download GeForce Experience (Google it), upgrade to the latest **BETA** drivers, and then reboot your PC. you might be using stock MS drivers if you're new to the gaming scene. Those suck.

EDIT- saw you already had GeForce Experience, but try using Beta drivers- I think the standard drivers are already a month old by now. Other than that, make sure all games are updated, as is Windows itself. One last thing to try is uninstall GeForce Experience and your drivers, reboot, and then install them from scratch. Use the 'clean install' option when you re-download them.

watch your temps and use the guru3d driver uninstaller then do a fresh driver install.Reinstall the driver and run CPUZ in logging mode during a stressful game. Your CPU with that GPU is not a good combo at all..

Check for CPU throttling, it does not only happen because of CPU temp so ignore CPU temps look at clock rate only. Monitor GPU temp and if it approaches temp target within 3c raise the temp target in GPU boost and set preference to PLL based overclock.

Use Precision X for gpu overclocking and monitoring. Use the GPU clock and usage logging feature in Precision X to verify if your card is underperforming or not and try setting an FPS target of 60 in Precision X.

Error: 410

if you want to test if you have bottleneck run Crysis 3 or Bf4 and look at GPU loads as wel as CPU loads if the CPU is at 99% and GPU is lower then 99% you have cpu bottleneck if your CPU is anything under 90 and GPU is 99% you have GPU bottleneck( The one you want to have :P

Needs Update
