so i have been contemplating my options for a while and sli 680s have popped up a few times, rather then get a newer gpu and paying more id get a second 680, but my issue is that the to pci slots for gpus on my motherboard at so close it seems like the first 1 in the top slot would be smothered by the second one (and yes i want to get a second 3 slot asus one because im picky when it comes to looks and they oc like hell and are quiet) would the second one smother the air flow of the top one?

For a 3 slot cooler? Quite possibly... You could fit it, and probably run it... but maybe not oc it that much...

Personally, I wouldn't get it... They'd be so close, and I wouldn't want to spend the money, to have it be useless...

Your 680 is still running like a champ... I would save for an overhaul...

Next time, maybe go with a 2 slot cooler :P

Good luck :D

Check out EVGA next time... (A tad of a fanboy) Their cooler isn't the complete best, however, it doesn't get anywhere near blown out of the water, and they're beastly overclockers.

Didn't know that... But interesting (I have an EVGA 780 Classified (ACX cooler of course).

Personally I really liked it for what it has now,

and that even though the PCB is custom, EVGA has a custom waterblock for when I eventually put it underwater.

Too bad my 680s are reference.

putting a g10 in their seems a bit odd because id i have to set one of them as fan off and then also deal with better temps on one card then the other
