first time build with a $1200 budget for a workstation and gaming pc

1. Budget & Location

for this build i have a max budget of US$1200 and i am located in Texas near a micro center if that helps

2. Aim

primary purpose will be for School and running solid works and inventor with complex assembles ,blender, multiple containers and VMs. would would also like to be able to play space engineers, ksp, Gta V, and cyberpunk when it comes out. would prefer to play at 1080.

Needs to have WiFi capability

ideally i would like to prioritize science and i don't care for rgb just prefer coordination of colors

3. Monitors

currently running two 1080p monitors and will eventually get a third most likely at 1440p

4. Peripherals

if it can fit in the budget without sacrificing performance a 1440p monitor

else no peripherals are needed and already have a copy of window 10

5. Why are you upgrading?

upgrading because currently running off of a 2in1 laptop that sounds as if its going to take off when running solid works and struggles to render objects is also slow to run small coding projects and vms

Microcenter has some fantastic deals usually. Definitely look at pricing there first. Otherwise, you're looking at the following.

Ryzen 7 3700X

Asus X570 TuF

2x8GB DDR4 3200-3600 CL17 or lower

A 1TB SSD - can be any model really. I'd say Sabrent Rocket or Crucial P1

An RTX 2070 Super or 5700 XT. Same performance, the 5700XT is cheaper tho so unless you need CUDA or Nvenc, get the 5700 XT

Corsair TXm 650W

Any case you like the look of and which has noise dampening and filtered intakes

Best value you can fit in that budget when focused on performance. A monitor would require a big downgrade to a 3600 and 5700 non-XT/2060 non-Super

The HDD is not needed, you can get a 2TB SSD with slight stretching. The CPU is a good deal. The GPU meh. The board is horrid - avoid the Aorus Elite. Get the Pro4 as it's MUCH more usable. That RAM price is also high

No, it's not - the EVGA BQ is just garbage. The Power Supply is the heart of the system. If it dies, it can start a fire and kill the whole PC. Trust me, get a good one.

The CX is average but for that kind of money, get a TXm - it's really worth the jump to a higher end unit for a high end system
