Logitech G230

About 2 weeks ago, Linus posted up a video about the new Logitech G230. After doing some research, I plan to get that headset to replace my horrible Turtle Beach X12s which has white noise and the microphone creates static when I record with it. I tried looking up reviews on YouTube and Google but I could not find any that were of use. So I am here now to ask this; do you think this headset is worth the upgrade and what do you think of it?

i dont think any headset is considered an upgrade. a side grade if anything. are you opposed to using headphones with a mic? would be much better for your money.

Well a headphone with a microphone on it... I'm not against it as long as both the microphone and speakers inside are decent. Which is why I am looking at Logitech at the moment. But would you suggest anything along the $50-$70 range?

wait didn't you once do a writeup about how the turtle beaches were a good headset? well glad you finally see the light.

 

I too don't see a headset option out there with good sound especially at that pricepoint. that said I do use a corsair vengeance headset it does things to an 'alright' or passable level. and when I need to do things that are audio centric like music or movies I switch to a headphone
