Data cables getting damaged

i bought the infinix hot 8 64gb 4gb about a month ago, its charging speed is good and all, i used the original charging cable and power adapter for charging it obviously, it charged ok for 2 weeks or more but then it slowed down to like 1% per hour then i was like wtf and i thought maybe the cable was bad so i replaced it and the phone came back to normal charging speed, then i used this cable for 1 week and now i'm back with the same problem so can anyone tell me why this is happening?Is my phone responsible for this or my charger? any help would be appreciated.......thanks
