Here are my current PC specs :

GTX 1070

Ryzen 7 3800x

MSI B450 Tomahawk

16GB DDR4 2400hz Corsair Vengeance

650W EVGA Power Supply

1TB Samsung 970 EVO M.2 SSD

128GB ADATA SSD

1TB HDD

I have been playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare with this setup and i have been getting crashes with DirectX errors. Also Shadow of the Tomb Raider only works in DX11, it crashes in DX12 with error DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED.

It seems that only DirectX12 games crash with this setup. I then changed my motherboard and CPU to :

i5 6600k

Asus Z170-P

I kept everything else the same and the games stop crashing. Something is obviously wrong with either the motherboard or CPU but i dont have a spare AM4 socket motherboard or CPU to test.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to troubleshoot or if you know what is most likely please comment below. Thanks.

did you ddu your system

look like a driver issue maybe gpu or maybe chipset

Yes i did a fresh install with DDU and even a full windows reset. I used the latest chipset drivers from AMD and still had the issues. I have a feeling that it is most likely the chipset on the motherboard. I'm thinking of buying a x470/x570 that is fully supported.
