Monitor for a 1070 SLI

Brakko

Hello everybody,

I'm looking for a monitor to match my build.

8700k

16g 2666 ddr4

sli 1070 (I know, it seems a not so smart choice but I found them for less than a 1650)

I use it for games, digital painting and media consumption.

Can you help me?

Are you looking for a widescreen? If so, 3440x1440 would be a nice resolution, although a 1070 wouldn't do amazing at that resolution. Settings woulds be low/medium to get 100 FPS.

I run a 2560x1440 monitor on a 1080 (was a 1070) and it worked great! Acer Predator 27". I believe its this one: https://smile.amazon.com/Acer-Predator-XB271HU-bmiprz-2560x1440/dp/B06ZXZ3QBD/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=predator+27"&qid=1586562142&sr=8-3

Its a great monitor, but my main PC's monitor is the x34, and its fantastic for photo work as its a REALLY high quality IPS panel. But.... gaming at that resolution would be hard for a 1070, and its not a cheap option (and better options exist these days anyways).

Thanks for the reply

so, wouldn't my two 1070s get WQHD / QHD? I was hoping they were more powerful than a 1080ti.

Do you recommend a WFHD / FHD 144Hz?

What about curved monitor?

They would be more powerful in the few games that actually support SLI well, which is not many at all...

In SLI optimized situations, yes, it would be a beast of a setup, but very, very situations will be outside of things like 3D mark, and some games.

my x34 is curved and I love it, but thats sorta the ultrawide way. Its also very minimally curved.

Ok, i did my homework and a single 1070 is more or less like a 2060. 😞. That's okay considering the price.

With this in mind, can the great linustech forum suggest some proper option? Your acer, Ligistx, seems excellent but i do not think it fits my configuration.

Maybe this one is more in the target? Amz linkAmz link2
