I have this video card and for a wile it has got really loud. Can I do something to get is back to some decent sound level?

Is the fan speed on auto or has it been manually set to a certain speed? Also is there dust in the graphics card itself?

the cooler is probably full of dust. Fist i would clean it.

 

than you can check your GPU temps with MSI Afterburner und configure a new and better fancurve if the temps allow it

So not worth it as the GT440 is a low end card. The OP is better off purchasing a new graphics card if the fan is stuffed.

The fan speed is on auto. And it is clean. I was afraid that I need to replace the fan. Tx for the help guys.

How fast is the fan spinning and is it always loud even when your idling?

Download MSI afterburner & setup a custom fan curve, make sure the card stays below 80c.

Look at the fan curves with software like Afterburner or GPUTweak and modify them. Or you could save up for a better graphics card with a better and quieter cooler
