Hi,

My friend gave me a few components a while ago so I figured I'd build a PC for my woodshop. I'd probably use it for drafting plans and CAD because I have fusion 360. Please that a look at the list and tell me what you think. Thanks

no match for your current PC, I assume it wont replace the current one right?

that board isnt compatible, 6th gen works with 100 and 200 series chipset boards. You can find them used in mass numbers and even new ones arent that expensive (since you dont need OC support)

that PSU is pretty bad

Yes this will be an auxiliary pc. do you have any recommendations for mobo? I didn't realize that. what about this corsair psu https://pcpartpicker.com/product/3hkwrH/corsair-power-supply-cp9020102na  ?

thanks

This PSU is fine

I wont go H110 personally since they come with less features and only 2 stick memory support (i.e. lower RAM capacity cap, bad news for running CAD software), so it's B150, B250, H170 and H270 chipset boards. The only option PCPP popped up is the H170 Pro4S at nearly $100 so might want to check the used market in your region for this. Good thing that they are a good amount of them out there and not old enough to develop faults.
