Hello guys,

I was wondering what is the best way to stream my VR Gaming Rig to another Room in the house.

Currently I am playing VR in my Living Room directly from my Gaming Rig, but now because it's getting warmer I'd like to play VR in my Garage since I have about 50 squarefeet free space there, if I remove my cars.

It would be about 22m cable from my gaming Rig to the middle of the sealing of my garage.

My VR Headset is a Rift S.

And I'd have a spare PC (FX6350, R9 280X, 8G Ram) as streaming device.

But what is the cheapest way to do this, I  can't spend a ton of money on that.

Would Steam Link and Gigabit Network be enough for a good Experience?

Or maybe 2,5G?

Or Maybe there is a cheap way for low latency fibre glass extender for USB and DP?

I know Linus allready did a Video about that and I would even have acces to tons of Simolink Optical Cables, which is technicaly the same as multiplex Network Cable but in black. But those Extender Box things are just way too expensive.

I'd also have acces to CAT8 cable but the 10gig Network stuff is also expensive :/

Isn't there any kind of '' workarround''?

Thank you I' m open for all ideas.
