Hey guys!

So I've a 1070 laying around after upgrading to 2080 ti and was wanting to build a new pc with parts revolving around the budget area but can still use most of if all the power of the 980 ti.

I was thinking of making it a To-go vr machine but for right now I'm just needing help on finding the right parts on a good budget. So the help I need is to find the cheapest route for a fully working PC to pair with my 1070 without a case.

Would like a budget around 500-800 USD.

I was thinking somewhere around the lot of a 3000g athlon but I'm not sure if there will be serious bottlenecks or anything of that sorts.

The 3000G is not even close to being able to keep up with a 1070, with or without VR. As @5x5 mentioned, you can get a 3600 and a good B450 board with that money.

Desktop: Intel Core i9-9900K | ASUS Strix Z390-F | G.Skill Trident Z Neo 2x16GB 3200MHz CL14 | EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER XC Ultra | Corsair RM650x | Fractal Design Define R6

Laptop: 2018 Apple MacBook Pro 13"  --  i5-8259U | 8GB LPDDR3 | 512GB NVMe

Peripherals: Leopold FC660C w/ Topre Silent 45g | Logitech MX Master 3 & Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed | HIFIMAN HE400se & iFi ZEN DAC | Audio-Technica AT2020USB+

Display: Gigabyte G34WQC
