Modem Router troubles

This past week I've been experiencing speed issues. Everyone in my household have been experiencing the internet speed fluctuating even when only one person is using it. I'm currently on the provided Modem router combo from my isp. I'm fairly new to networking and I'm not certain what it could be. I believe it's the modem going bad.

are you using wifi? with everyone (hopefully) at home wireless waves could be clogged

again, a lot of people are using the internet in general. if only recently it started slowing down it would be that. can you run a speed test and share the results

This is the average. While in game it fluctuates from about 30ms all the way up to 400

theres not a ton you can do given where you live. if the other people living with you use wifi, i would recommend getting a nice access point. i would also get a new router, and maybe modem if you can afford. a netgear nighthawk pro router is good. as for modems, im not too familiar as ive never needed to upgrade it. i hope this helps :)
